On March 25-29, 2019, the International Vision Standards Meeting (IVSM) that is organized by China Machine Vision Union (CMVU), hosted by Bozhong Precision Technology Co., Ltd (BOZHON) and co-organized by the National Photoelectric Measurement Standardization Technical Committee of Chinese Academy of Sciences Optoelectronics Research Institute will be held at the premise of BOZHON in Suzhou.
The main leaders that will attend the meeting include Fan Jianlong (Deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Standing Committee of Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone), Du Jianhua (Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Wujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone), Shen Jianhua (Director of the Party and Government Office), Yan Youming (Secretary of the Economic Development Bureau), Pan Jin (Chairman of CMVU), Lv Shaolin (President of BOZHON).
More than 80 international engineers and 70 domestic engineers will attend this meeting to share the latest development and application information around the world about machine vision standards. The IVSM will last for 5 days, discussions and exchanges will be carried out in groups with the topics of GenICam control standard, in-built vision standard, international vision standard training, USB3Vision interface standard, OPCVision standard and so on. Through discussions and exchanges on such topics, we will develop more scientific and reasonable international standards. It can be said that the establishment of such standards will play a vital role in the whole industry of machine vision technology. For example, such standards can shorten the development period, reduce the product costs, improve the production efficiency, enable enterprises to take fewer detours. Meanwhile, standards are the driving force for intelligent manufacturing innovation, it is a necessary condition for the interconnection and interoperability of intelligent manufacturing systems, also an important means to seize the commanding heights of industrial competition. We believe that in the context of the new round of accelerated industrial revolution, the global industrial powers will pay more attention to the standards on intelligent manufacturing.
About IVSM
IVSM is held twice a year, it is alternatively hosted by the Global Industry Association, American Society for Automated Imaging (AIA), Europe Machine Vision Association (EMVA), Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JILA) and Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (VDMA).
